Updates

We are excited to be learning about Nonfiction through Readers' and Writers' Workshop.  Your child is enjoying writing their "All About" books by including a topic, table of contents, labels, captions, and bolded print.  Ask your child what their topic is all about.

During math, we are focusing on tens and ones with two digit numbers.  We have been practicing to add dimes and pennies as well.  This week we will focus on the concepts of greater than, less than, and equal to.

Your child has access to our online math program called IXL math.  Their username is their first initial and last name.  They usually explore this program with our iPads at school.  They will be just as successful using a PC. Here is the website.

Our classroom windows have the winter spirit!  Thank you for helping your child remember the necessary winter gear each day.

To celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. we created ourselves out of construction paper and wrote why we are each special.
