Monday, November 27th from 1:15-1:45 the Lobsters will be shopping at our school book fair. If you would like to join us, please meet us in the library. If you are sending your child with money to purchase books, please send it in a labeled baggie/envelope in your child's blue folder on 11/27. Thank you!
Report cards went home today. This will allow you to view the skills/behaviors we will be focusing on this year. Please keep the report card at home and return the signed, empty envelope to school.
All short vowels have been taught. We have done a few things to help us remember their sounds.
1. We ate apples for Short A.
2. We played with Fluff for sticky, icky Short I.
3. We ate hard boiled eggs to help us with Short E.
4. We sang opera to master Short O.
5. We opened an umbrella to remember Short U.
Ask your child to sing you the Short Vowel Song and show you the signals for each one.
We finished My Father's Dragon. This is the first of three books in the series. Your child may want to check the other two books out of our school library and have you enjoy reading the book to him/her.
The Family Turkeys are so creative and are enjoyed by all who pass by in the hallway. Enjoy looking at all the turkeys below!
