Mary Preble's books and artwork were wonderful to see. We learned how she uses Gelli Mats to make her artwork. Her first book was a gift for her grandson instead of a publishing company. Mary's first grade teacher was the author of the Dick and Jane series, if you remember reading those in first grade. Mary showed us her artwork and writing from when she was in second grade and inspired the children to become authors and illustrators. If you would still like to order her book and have it signed by her, you may submit the order form by Friday. If you need another order form, please send me an email.
Do these snow pants and hat belong to your family? Please send me an email if they belong to your child before they go to Lost and Found. Also, if your child has an extra pair of snow pants and would like to leave them at school, please send me an email. I will put a special note on their hook so I am not asking them to claim them at the end of each day. Thank you!
Valentine's Day!
A Valentine list will go home Friday. Please make sure your child has a Valentine for everyone in the class by February 14th. The Valentines may be homemade or store bought. We will have ice cream sundaes on Valentine's Day and enjoy opening our Valentines. Please look for a Sign Up Genius from Jen Carter next week.
