More Super Readers! We have one special Super Reader left! The students truly are SUPER READERS! They all captivated their audience and choose great books to share with the class. Thank you for helping your child practice!
Our Valentine Store...Lobsters R' Us! This store helped build our confidence with adding money and counting back change as we decorated our boxes for Valentine's Day. This store experience helped prepare us for our "First Grade Mall" in June. We will donate all our money to the S.P.C.A. They usually visit us in March.
Passing out our Valentines!
Finding a special spot to open our Valentines and shout "thank you" to everyone from across the room as we open each Valentine. It was so fun to independently read the Valentines ourselves this year.
Look what we have in our classroom now. We learned about Mo Willems on our projector.
Here is what Mo Willems looks like. He is our mentor author. Ask your child to name a few titles of books he has written and illustrated. There are over forty of them. We will begin to write our own stories based on his Pigeon books.
Here we are taking a movement break. The students love these "Move to Learn" activities.
