The students are enjoying reading many series books in our classroom and going on adventures with the characters in their books. Here are examples of the series books that your child has access to read during the school day. Please visit the Wiggin Memorial Library with your child to have them check out series books that interest them. Many of the books your child can read independently. Some may need your guidance or require you to read them to him/her at this point in the year.

The garden committee is looking for rinsed gallon milk jugs! Please bring any empty containers to school during the next few weeks. The garden committee is looking to plan some earth friendly activities for Earth Day on 4/20. One of the stations was inspired by our market to help Berkina Faso access clean drinking water. They are planning a water walk where students will practice walking with water as a group and learn how difficult it can be to move clean water from one place to another, and not spill it, or be too tired, etc.

Here's just a glimpse on what we've been working on:
- Learned how rainbows are made.
- Learned about the depths of the ocean thanks to Mystery Doug
- Interpreted data and created horizontal and vertical graphs.
- Practiced understanding the words fewer than, less than, more than, greater than, and equal to while creating and interpreting graphs.
- Practiced talking to ourselves by saying "I can do it!" when things get difficult or when we don't want to do something we have to do.
Ask your child about the Mad Scientist visit today and what they learned about sound and vibration.
