Book Orders, Photos and Updates

Below are photos of a getting to know you game.  We practiced our initials and focused on our first, middle, and last names last week.  Your child may want you to tell him/her the story behind their first and last name.

Brown Bag Shares will begin tomorrow.  Mrs. Coad and I shared our bags with the students last week.  Ask your child to tell you some things they learned about each of us.

Here's just a glimpse on what we've been working on:

Practiced being a reading partner

Showcased our reading with our partner by doing a Readers' Theater with Elephant and Piggie books.
Played two math games, "Lobster Squeeze" and "The Dot Game"
Reviewed tally marks and recorded data using them
Caught up on all the Mystery Doug clips from August.  Now we will watch one a week to participate in the voting of upcoming episodes.
