Another Busy Week: September 9th-13th

Here are some questions to ask about the week...

  1. What happened in the end of My Father's Dragon?  What was hidden in the treasure chest that Mrs. Hackett gave you to go along with the story?  Why did she give that to you?
  2. What was your classroom job?
  3. What is a "Social Detective"?
  4. How did you make a lobster buoy?
  5. What is IXL math? Where did you go to learn about this on the Promethean Board?
  6. How do you play Quack Diddly Oso?  Can you sing the song to me?
  7. What is the game Bug in a Rug?
  8. Show me how to hold a pencil correctly.
  9. Who is your 3rd Grade Reading Buddy?
  10. How do you play "Lobster Go Fish"?
We are in need of center volunteers from 1:30-2:45.  Please let me know if you are interested and which day of the week you are free.  I will try to schedule you once or twice a month depending upon how many people sign up.  We are still looking for more Mystery Reader volunteers.  This time is from 2:30-2:45.  Also, let me know which day of the week you are available, and I will schedule you once or twice for the year.

We have an Early Release next Wednesday, September 18th.  The students will be dismissed at 12:50.

Thank you for the foaming hand soap!  If you haven't donated any yet, we could use more to stretch us throughout the year:)

Projects Due:

  • Writing folders are due on Monday.
  • Follow the Brown Bag schedule and directions enclosed in your child's blue folder.
  • To kick off our Readers' Workshop, please send up to five of your child's favorite books on Monday.  Please make sure they are labeled.
Enjoy your weekend!
