Dot Day!   Make your mark on the world! We had a Dot Day assembly today lead by Mr. Fosher.  He taught us many facts about dots and read the wonderful story The Dot by Peter Reynolds.  We even made a human dot outside with the whole school while Mr. Fosher took our photo from the roof.

Ask your child how we used movement and music to complete the dots below.

Download the free app Colar and have your child show you how to make the dot they brought home today come to life!  See the photos below showing this activity.

Some questions to ask about the week:
How do you make sunny day and cloudy day lines?
Show me how to write a lowercase 'c' and 'a' on these lines.
What was your classroom job this week?
What is an exclamation mark?
Show me how to do the pupil dilation experiment.
Let's practice IXL math on the computer.  Do remember your password?  The directions were sent home in your blue folder this week.
How do you read long and strong?
How do other kids from around the world get to school?

Reminder:  Next Thursday, September 26th at 6:30 is Curriculum Night for parents.  I hope to see you in our classroom!

Below are our Dot Day headbands and creative dots before they were cut in half to demonstrate how we can "make our mark" on someone else's life.
